Frequently Asked Questions: Retreats
Do I have to pay in full?
A $500 deposit will be required to hold your spot. The remaining balance is due within 90 days of the trip. There is also a half pay option for a deposit. If you would like to make another payment arrange with us, please just send an email to sara@souladventurecollective.com. We want to make it easy for every women to attend one of these life-changing retreats!
What if I have a special diet or dietary restrictions?
Please let us know when you sign up for the trip if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies so we can plan accordingly. We will try our best to accommodate, but please note that it is not always possible to accommodate very restrictive diets for every meal. Please send an email to sara@souladventurecollective.com if there are concerns.
What will our accommodations be like?
Our accommodations are almost always local Airbnb’s that are carefully selected based on location, amenities, and ratings. Depending on the trip we may change accommodations if the destinations are greater than 4 hours apart- this will be noted in the trip itinerary. While some Airbnb’s will be considered “luxury”, other Airbnb’s will reflect the local culture and be cozy in nature. All rooms will be double occupancy (or more potentially in the case of a bunk room). We do this in order to keep the costs of the retreats lower for you. I promise you it is not awkward to share a queen or king sized bed with another attendee. If you have concerns about this please reach out.
What if we have bad weather?
In the unlikely event that there is emergency weather, we will potentially need to cancel certain activities. We will make every attempt to reschedule an activity, but this may not always be possible. We promise that we will make the best of our time no matter what!
Can you opt out of an activity?
Yes! We want you to enjoy your trip as fully as possible. If there is something that you do not want to participate in, that is completely fine. You are free to a rest at our homebase during any of the activities.
What should I pack?
Please check the local weather the week before your flight and pack appropriately. Also, check the itinerary. If there are hikes planned, consider bringing hiking shoes, gear, water bottle, and backpack. If we are going to hot springs, bring flip flops and possibly a robe. Remember that we will be sharing rooms and car space, so pack lightly if you can. If you need help figuring out a pack list, please reach out and we can assist. Compression packing cubes can also be helpful.
In addition, we always start a Facebook Group chat between all the attendees about one month prior to the trip. This is really helpful in getting questions answered if there are any.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Due to the nature of planning these trips, there are no refunds for ANY cancellations including illness, pandemic, vaccination requirements of countries, etc. You are able to SELL your retreat- if we have a waitlist for a trip, we will get you in contact with a person waiting for a spot.
If WE need to cancel the trip, we will reschedule to a trip in 2025 of equal value.
*We recommend that you look into travel insurance to purchase in order to protect your trip in case you need to cancel. We will not cover the cost of travel insurance.
Disclaimer
We are not travel agents nor licensed guides. We are not responsible for any injuries, illnesses, or unforeseen circumstances that happen during the trip. You will need to sign a liability waiver before the trip starts. In the unlikely event that something does happen on this trip, we will help you the best we can if something does happen. We highly recommend travel insurance, which you would be responsible for securing independently, at your own cost.
