Back in the 1980-1990s “alternative health practices” were not the norm. Everything was sterile and systematic in nature. Everything had to be peer-reviewed with government sponsored, doubled-blind studies. I was fortunate enough to be raised by a father who questioned everything and taught me everything he knew as a naturopathic health provider. I was taught at a very young age to embrace practices including mindset training, energy balancing, herbology, homeopathy, and using nature as medicine. When I graduated high school I wanted to understand as much as I could about science and medicine, which ultimately led me to be a bridge between the healing power of nature/ natural medicine and mainstream medicine.

I have a degree in Psychology, another degree in Biochemistry, and a third degree in Nursing. I worked as a registered nurse for about a decade, incorporating and supporting alternative health practices and psychology/mindset modalities whenever I could. I was living a BIG, beautiful life doing what I always thought I would do, but “success” didn’t feel as good as I thought it would. I felt like something was missing. So, I began to reassess values, passions, and authentic beliefs about my own life.

I realized that for a long time I had been in survival mode, stuck in the mundane tasks of life. I felt like I lost my identity, questioning what my interests were without the labels that society and my family defined me with. I kept asking myself “What makes me feel alive?” and “Who am I?”. It certainly wasn’t the 20 year-old who planned to stay in one career for the rest of her life. It took me years of research and self-study to dive deep and figure out what that unsettled feeling inside me was.

I made some pretty drastic decisions in life including selling almost all our family’s belongings and becoming location independent nomads…essentially wiping the slate clean. Through connecting with families and women all over the world, I saw the benefits that community, mindset, and adventure have in a woman’s life. The truth is, that with a little bit of education and support from others, I would have been able to embrace that unsettled feeling inside me and redefine what my purpose and values were in life. I became yoga teacher certified, mentored in sound healing, and called to coach and support women in their journey to re-discovering themselves using nature, play, energy practices, and mindset modalities.

In the conversations that I had with the women I met across the globe, I soon found out that I wasn’t alone in my feelings. I created Soul Adventure Collective, as a means to offer a special healing journey to women on a larger scale. Through specially curated retreats, professionally designed courses and classes, and unique sisterhood gatherings I have created the perfect formula where women can learn to take steps towards unearthing their most authentic self.

I KNEW that my calling in life was to help women along this same journey back to themselves. YOU have the power within yourself!

I hope you join me and thousands of other women on this journey!
