1. Flights to and from the retreat. In other words you must organize your own flight to Cairo from your starting location, and then again when you are headed home after the retreat. Please note, flights to Egypt typically leave the United States the day prior to the actual arrival date. Keep this in mind when booking flights so that you arrive on the correct day. If you do not arrive on the correct day, you can still come on the remainder of the trip, but you will be responsible for your own transportation to whatever area we are in that day.
Please note that if your flight comes in after the pickup time in the itinerary or gets cancelled/delayed beyond the pickup time, you will need to get transportation to our hotel in Cairo.
2. Alcoholic Beverages
3. Extra snacks or other items that you wish to purchase for yourself/others such as an extra coffee/tea while we’re out and about. This also includes things such as souvenirs.
4. Tips. Tipping people in Cairo is customary. You will be required to bring cash for any tips you wish to give during our activities.
5. If you wish to come to Cairo prior to the welcome dinner on Day 1 of the trip, you are welcome to do so at your own cost. You are also welcome to stay in Cairo as long as you wish after the group trip officially ends, but this will also be at your own cost.

We will have a guide and driver for the entire trip.
Egypt is hot and the sun is out all year. You must be ok with walking a fair amount in these conditions. Please review all activities on the itinerary to make sure you are able to complete them. Please note that if you would like to skip an activity, that is ok! Just let us know.
You will fly into Cairo to meet up with the rest of the group. The retreat officially starts at 4pm on October 8th, but you are welcome to fly in earlier to rest. Anything you do prior to 4pm will be your responsibility organizationally and financially.
The retreat ends on October 14th at 2pm. If you are having difficulty finding a later flight, feel free to depart early that day or stay an extra day at your own expense.
You must be willing to try different foods than you may be used to. The food in Egypt is incredible, and we will be eating at many different places from street vendors to luxury dinner cruise venues.
You are responsible for any visa requirements or other rules for traveling from your country of origin to/from Egypt.
We may encounter locations in Cairo where it is respectful to wear full coverage clothing as women. Many women either bring a light-weight scarf that can cover their upper body/neck, or purchase one while there.
Please consider packing lightly. Space will be limited, and we do move quite often on this trip, so you will need to haul your bags around a fair amount. A carry on sized bag and a backpack for a personal item would be appropriate.
Many people bring home souvenirs. If you are worried about space, you can always box them up and send them home via a checked box at the airport or via international mail.
